Transforming Lives on the Road: The Akanksha Project
In the vast expanse of India's highways, there exists a community often overlooked yet crucial to our nation's functioning – truck drivers. Project Akanksha is a collaborative endeavor between Tata Motors Finance, Samhita-CGF, and Givfunds to empower truck drivers by providing them with necessary training and knowledge.
Recognizing the challenging conditions under which truck drivers operate, with project Akanksha, we embarked on a journey to provide comprehensive training in financial literacy and road safety, equipping the truck drivers to enhance their quality of life and safety on the road.
Journey to Empowerment
The project set out with a clear vision: to empower truck drivers with the knowledge and tools necessary for financial security and safer driving practices. With the scope of targeting over 4,000 drivers across 20 centers within a nine-month period, this ambitious program was not just about education and awareness; iit was about creating lasting change in the truck drivers' community.
Impact
The Akanksha Initiative successfully trained 4,100 truck drivers, enhancing their understanding of financial management and the importance of road safety measures.
Together, we pave the way for a future where truck drivers are empowered and are safely traversing the highways that connect our nation!
Implementation Strategy
Central to the success of Project Akanksha was its comprehensive implementation strategy. Beginning with region-based milestones, the project ensured a tailored approach to training delivery, acknowledging the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the truck drivers.
The exhaustive training sessions by Givfunds covered crucial financial concepts, including but not limited to, money management, savings, investment, digital usage, insurance and loans.
The training sessions also emphasized on inculcating active saving behaviors and raising awareness about relevant government schemes that the truck drivers can benefit from.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology such as Learning Management Systems and project management tools like Asana, the program effectively implemented the training sessions with real-time monitoring, ensuring maximum impact and engagement.
