Givfunds’ roots began in 2016 after our founders, Irwan Malhotra and Edward Yee, serendipitously bumped into each other on an Indian sleeper train. Having visited hundreds of social enterprises, they saw first-hand how changemakers were unable to access the capital needed to impact more lives. Edward has played leadership roles in various non-profits, founded a profitable start-up, and visited over a hundred social enterprises globally. He is a Rhodes Scholar, Kairos Society Fellow, a Global Youth Ambassador for Education at Their World, and a Nanyang Scholar.
IRWAN MALHOTRA
Co-founder (New Delhi)
Irwan founded and manages Vencap United, a successful debt firm based in New Delhi. He has over 12 years of experience working with SME debt, particularly in our target markets. Irwan has also founded Gavaksh India, a school for the slum children in New Delhi.
